Built for institutions responsible for other people's ventures
Fund platform teams, venture studios, accelerators, and fellowship programs share a problem: their portfolios need product-market fit discipline, and one-off mentor office hours do not build it. The Intensive is a structured alternative. The cohort works on their own companies, not case studies, and every session ends with a decision made or a test designed for a live venture in the room.
The format
Each session runs 30/70: thirty percent concept, seventy percent applied to the ventures in the room. Sessions open and close on a guiding question, and the cohort holds each other's homework between meetings. Cohorts of six to twelve ventures work best. Programs run four to eight sessions depending on your calendar.
What each venture leaves with
By the final session, every participating venture has a completed four-box segmentation covering Segment, Need, Value, and Ethical Boundary, an ICP narrowed in writing with the reasoning documented, and one falsifiable hypothesis paired with the cheapest test that could disprove it. Program leads receive a cohort-level readout identifying which ventures are closest to fit and which are still searching.
Where the Intensive runs
Beginning fall 2026, Erick serves as a preceptor at the Watson Institute, running the Product-Market Fit module for the Enlight Foundation cohort. Watson is a Boulder-based organization whose fellowships back entrepreneurs and leaders drawn primarily from historically disenfranchised backgrounds. The module runs the segmentation and hypothesis work described above against the Fellows' own ventures. SproutVest's role in the fellowship is product-market fit instruction.
